TPI (thermoplastic polyimide) is a high temperature resistant thermopolymer that can be processed by modifying it in the conventional injection moulding process. The material combines outstanding melt stability with excellent chemical and mechanical characteristics. Furthermore, TPI excels with dimensional stability at extremely high temperatures. Due to its chemical composition, the polymer is characterised by its flame-retardant properties without flame-retardant additives. Thanks to the high quality of its different properties, TPI is used in the aerospace and automotive industry. The material is also a suitable substitute for metal.
