SAN (styrene-acrylonitrile) is a standard amorphous plastic that belongs to the group of styrenic polymers. The thermoplastic has a glossy, highly transparent surface and is known for its small shrinkage and excellent liquidity. By adding a glass fibre, we obtain a product of high firmness that is used e.g. for coils in electrical engineering. In addition to the electronics industry, SAN has, thanks to its good dyeability, versatile uses in products for household and toys for children.
